Audiology Australia (AudA), the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) and the Hearing Aid Audiometrist Society of Australia (HAASA) are the three Practitioner Professional Bodies (PPBs) representing audiologists and/or audiometrists in Australia. The PPBs collaborated to create a uniform Code of Conduct for their members. It is based on the previous Codes of Conduct and Ethics of these organisations and the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers. The three PPBs maintain the currency of the professions' ethics by periodically reviewing and revising the Code of Conduct from time to time - most recently in July 2016.
Members of Audiology Australia must display or make available copies of the summary of the Code of Conduct in a manner that makes them easily accessible to clients.
