Dr Tony Coles
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to his appointment at Audiology Australia in 2015, Tony spent six years as the CEO of the Australian Association of Gerontology. He is a Director on the Boards of the Allied Health Professions Australia and the National Alliance of Self-Regulating Health Professions. A graduate of the Australian Public Service, Department of Health and Ageing, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Tony has a PhD from the University of Tasmania, where he specialised in men’s health and ageing issues, including men’s uptake of health services.
 
 
 
Elissa Campbell
Research and Policy Manager
Elissa has an extensive background working in health law and policy for a variety of not-for-profit organisations. As Research and Policy Manager, she is responsible for the development of policy documents on issues relevant to the audiology profession and hearing health care. Elissa is passionate about making a difference and using policy and advocacy to improve health outcomes for all Australians. 
 
 
Georgie Bodman
Standards and Competencies Officer
Georgie works with the standards and competencies within accreditation of the Masters programs in audiology, those within the Clinical Internship and those being developed for the audiology profession more widely. Her experience in this area includes supporting a registered profession in their review of the standards and competencies that apply to the profession and managing the extensive university accreditation program.
 
 
Feiya Zhang
Policy Officer
Feiya worked in the Australian Government Department of Health prior to joining the Audiology Australia team in 2019. Her current role includes preparing submissions to government on a range of issues to support the audiology profession and hearing health care in Australia. Feiya holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and has a long-standing interest in the areas of health and technology.
 
 
 
Savio D'sa
Marketing and Education Manager
Savio brings over 10 years’ marketing and events experience to the team. He is responsible for the overall education program delivered by Audiology Australia including all marketing and communications activities. Savio is passionate about delivering education that goes beyond just CPD points and always welcomes input in developing educational programs that continually help inform and up-skill audiologists.
 
 
Sarah Cole
Conference Manager
Sarah has over seven years’ experience in the event management industry working for Professional Conference Organisers. She has worked alongside many associations to deliver successful events and is focused on creating experiences to support the professional development needs of members. At Audiology Australia, Sarah is responsible for the delivery of the Chapter and National Conferences.
 
 
 
 
Ruby Grant
Event Coordinator
Ruby is responsible for the webinars and professional development workshops while also assisting the Conference Manager with the national events. She has over five years of event experience, with a focus in conference organising for the past two years. Ruby’s qualification background includes a Bachelor of Environments and a Diploma of Event Management, so bringing an environmentally-friendly perspective to events is an important goal for her.
 
 
Melissa Phibbs
Events and Communications Coordinator
Melissa has over eight years’ experience in event management and communications and is responsible for the chapter conferences, professional development workshops and the member value webinar series. She has a passion for health and enjoys delivering quality education opportunities to members.
 
 
Megan Gidley
Communications Manager
Megan has experience in working in public relations and corporate communications in industry, higher education and retail as well as an independent public relations consultant and sessional university tutor. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Arts, and is dedicated to providing updates to Audiology Australia members and promoting the valuable work audiologists undertake in our community.
 
 
Jenny Smith
Editorial Manager
Jenny began working for Audiology Australia in 2006, before taking an international role based in Denmark. Upon her return to Australia in 2013, Jenny found her way back to Audiology Australia and re-engaged with members on local issues as editor of Audiology Now. Jenny loves crafting words and continuing to learn and grow professionally, even after 40 years in the audiology profession.
 
 
Shudipta Saha
Membership Manager
Shudipta has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and an MBA. Prior to joining Audiology Australia she has had extensive experience working at The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, Independent Schools Victoria, TNT logistics, etc. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Membership, CPD program, Internship, Examinations, etc. and is very passionate about her role.
 
 
Angela Marshall
CPD Endorsement and Internship Officer
Angela lectured in Audiology at the University of Melbourne for more than 35 years before joining the Audiology Australia team in 2015. Angela's current role includes member services administration relating to CPD endorsement and the internship program.
 
 
 
David Rischbieth
Finance Manager
David is the chief number-cruncher at Audiology Australia which sees him manage all things finance, including budgeting, monthly management and board financial reporting, as well as annual financial statements. He brings over 30 years of finance experience to Audiology Australia, with past roles including research institutes, local government and professional associations.
 
 
 
Sejal Shah
Accounts and Payroll Officer
Sejal is responsible for accounts payable, receivable and payroll. Sejal has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Commerce and has worked in various sales, marketing and communications roles, before changing her focus to accounts and payroll.
 
 
Dee Morella
Office Manager
Dee joins Audiology Australia with an extensive background in administration and customer service.
She isn’t keen on talking about herself, but really looks forward to getting to know our members as your first point of contact when you ring the National Office!
