Joint Submission with Speech Pathology Australia on the Government’s Review of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO)

Audiology Australia and Speech Pathology Australia have developed a joint submission to the Australian Bureau of Statistics on the current skill-based classification scheme, ANZSCO. Under the current classification scheme, the audiology and speech pathology occupations are grouped together and reported under the same unit code.

Audiology Australia and Speech Pathology Australia have come together to advocate for a separation of the occupations at the unit level, which will provide for distinct reporting of the two occupations. This will allow for the development of more accurate and specific workforce strategies and data reporting for the audiology and speech pathology occupations.
