With the support of members, here are just some of the achievements that have supported members and the profession over the past year:
- Online conferences, webinars and workshops including the Online CPD Day and AudA Online Conference.
- A range of face-to-face events including InspirED 2021 for students, interns and early career audiologists, WA & QLD chapter conferences, and workshops in Tas, SA and VIC.
- Endorsement of more than 100 events to ensure members could access a range of CPD events while being assured of the quality of the content delivered within these webinars and events.
- Over 98% annual membership retention
- 85% membership satisfaction rate expressed by members in the annual membership survey
- Launch of Find an audiologist database, including a digital media campaign and gaining radio and print coverage to promote the service.
- Advocating for audiology services to be added to HICAPs to enable electronic billing of audiology services, creating greater ease for clinics and clients with private health insurance.
- Advocating with government to ensure audiology was listed to continue to provide services during lockdowns.

- Creation and launch of the National Competency Standards for Accredited Audiologists
- Creation and launch of the first competency standards for paediatric audiologists at an advanced level: Paediatric Competency Standards for Audiologists
- Rural and Regional Hearing Healthcare Workforce Summit to discuss hearing health service delivery and resourcing to support rural and remote communities
- Development of the Australian Teleaudiology Guidelines for hearing healthcare clinicians
- Focus groups and survey – getting to know members and working with them to set the agenda for advocacy and PR
- Tinnitus Awareness and World Hearing Day campaigns
- Move to people centric Comms and PR strategy placing members at the centre of our story
- Relaunch of the Early Career Audiologists group to provide students, interns and those within their first three years of their careers opportunities to network, learn and engage with their peers.
- Support and advice for members through the Ethics Helpline.
- Up-to-date information for members about activities, announcements, events and more in newsletters and scientific information via the Audiology Now magazine.
- Facilitated discounted insurance with our partner, Aon Insurance.
