Location: Online
There is a need for international expert consensus and guidelines as a necessary step to improve the quality and consistency of care for adults living with severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss. Standard of Care is intended to provide health care professionals, patients, researchers, payers, and other impacted parties with the mechanisms to deliver the best possible health outcomes for these patients. This presentation will give an overview of the development of the Standard of Care for adults with a severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss and how Cochlear is involved in this process.
In order to develop the Standard of Care, an independent, international, expert panel has been established to undertake a Delphi process as a step towards international expert consensus regarding the treatment of adults with severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss. The presentation will also outline the steps involved in this evidence-based process.
