Earz is a local, independent audiology practice in Hornsby, dedicated to providing personalised ear and hearing care for people of all ages. At Earz, we specialise in comprehensive audiological diagnostic assessments for infants, children and adults, as well as professional earwax removal using microscope examination and micro-suction techniques. We also provide employment and occupational hearing assessments, hearing aid assessments and a range of other audiological services. Our philosophy is simple: to provide thorough, professional and personalised care while taking the time to understand each patient's individual needs. We believe that good hearing and ear health play an important role in communication, learning, wellbeing, safety and quality of life. Earz was founded by Patricia Amorim, Senior Audiologist and Director, who has more than 25 years of experience in audiology and has practised in Brazil, the United States and Australia. Her extensive clinical experience includes paediatric and adult diagnostic audiology, hearing rehabilitation, tinnitus, Central Auditory Processing Disorders and vestibular assessment. Earz was created from a desire to bring this broad clinical experience together with a strong focus on diagnostic audiology and ear health. We are passionate about supporting individuals and families throughout their hearing and ear-health journey, from early childhood through to adulthood. At Earz, your ears are our expertise.
I have been an audiologist since 1997, with the privilege of living and practising audiology in Brazil, the United States, and Australia. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across many different areas of audiology, gaining broad clinical experience and a deep appreciation for the many ways we can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through better hearing and communication. One of the greatest privileges of my career has been having Dr. Jack Katz as both a friend and mentor. His knowledge, passion, and dedication to the field have had a lasting influence on my professional journey. I genuinely love what I do and remain passionate about audiology and lifelong learning. I am currently completing my Doctor of Audiology (AuD), which I expect to complete in May 2027. More recently, I took an exciting new step in my career by opening my own private practice, Earz, allowing me to bring together my experience, values, and passion for patient-centred care.
