Sanyogeeta is a Master of Audiology with dual qualifications in speech and hearing. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Therapy from AYJNIHH, Bombay University and moved on interstate to further her education by obtaining Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing from AIISH (All India Institute of Speech and Hearing), University of Mysore. She has gained extensive experience in both diagnostic as well as rehabilitative audiology roles overseas and in Australia. At the commencement of her career, for 6 &1/2 years, she worked at a major diagnostic and rehabilitative public hospital (KEM) in Mumbai, India, where she provided hearing assessments and speech therapy along with electrophysiological assessments (EABR and ECocG) for ENTs and Neurologists and delivered presentations at the Neurotology workshops. Recruitment with Australian Hearing brought Sanyogeeta to Australia in 2000. She soon became a registered practitioner under the Commonwealth Hearing Services Program. She took on the challenge of specialising in the programming of the emerging Gamma II Digital hearing aid technology and travelled across NSW Australian Hearing centres, training other audiologists. She has worked for several hearing service providers in Canberra which has broadened her experience with all major brands of hearing aids and assistive hearing devices. She is a certified Wax removalist and Phonak Lyric consultant. She has also had experience in vestibular assessment. Over 2016-2021 she provided cochlear implant services at the cochlear implant clinic (the then SCIC, an RIDBC service). This role required networking and liaising with Ear Nose and Throat surgeons, other hearing and allied health professionals, and organisations. She was the local “best practice lead” for Single Sided deafness, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids and bimodal fittings.
