Shiow Yuan (Marc) Oh

RT Speech and Hearing is a locally owned independent audiology and speech pathology private practice based in Perth, Western Australia. Our practice was founded in 2023 by Dr Ruyi Tong, Speech Pathologist and Dr Marc Oh, Audiologist. Our work is focused on delivering results by working closely with you to understand your concerns and empower you with bespoke solutions and problem-solving skills. Marc discovered his passion for audiology during a scholarship program in 2001 while studying speech pathology. After gaining experience as a speech pathologist and later as a human resources executive in a large Singapore hospital, he returned to university to specialise in audiology. Since 2012, Marc has been providing person-centred hearing solutions, known for his independent, honest, and transparent advice. His commitment to personalised care has earned him a strong reputation among clients and medical practitioners, with many patients coming through word-of-mouth referrals. As an Audiology Australia accredited member, Marc brings extensive experience in both adult and pediatric diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. He is skilled in prescribing hearing aids, counseling, and managing tinnitus and auditory processing disorders. Marc has contributed to the field through his published thesis on preterm children using cochlear implants and by mentoring audiology students and new graduates. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and selected Chinese dialects, he offers comprehensive audiology services. Outside of work, Marc enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
