Holistic Audiology is an independent, audiologist-owned clinic providing personalised hearing care in Ferntree Gully and the surrounding community. We offer a thoughtful alternative to one-size-fits-all hearing care. Our focus is on taking the time to understand each person’s hearing, listening needs, communication goals, lifestyle, and wellbeing before recommending solutions. Our services support people with hearing difficulties, Auditory Processing Disorder, listening challenges, tinnitus, sound sensitivity, and communication barriers. We combine comprehensive audiological assessment, evidence-based hearing solutions, counselling-informed care, and practical therapy, training, and rehabilitation options tailored to each person’s needs. At Holistic Audiology, every client is treated as a unique person with their own needs, goals, and circumstances. We aim to create a calm, respectful, and supportive experience where every person feels heard, informed, and empowered to make confident decisions about their hearing health.

Viviana Liou is the Founder and Principal Audiologist of Holistic Audiology, bringing nearly 30 years of clinical experience across public and private healthcare settings. Since beginning her audiology career in 1997, Viviana has supported adults, children, and families with hearing difficulties, tinnitus, sound sensitivity, auditory processing challenges, hearing devices and technology, and communication rehabilitation. Her work is grounded in careful assessment, evidence-based recommendations, and a deep understanding of the real-life impact hearing and listening difficulties can have on confidence, relationships, learning, work, and wellbeing. As both an Accredited Audiologist and Registered Counsellor, Viviana brings a distinctive, whole-person perspective to hearing care. She recognises the emotional, social, and relationship impacts that often accompany hearing loss, tinnitus, sound sensitivity, and auditory processing difficulties. She has a special interest in supporting people experiencing Auditory Processing Disorder, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity, and in helping clients and families develop clearer communication, greater listening comfort, and improved confidence in everyday life. Viviana has lived on three continents and speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish. She is proud to provide culturally sensitive hearing care for Melbourne’s diverse community.
