Audiology Australia announces new President and Board
Audiology Australia is pleased to announce that Dr Jessica Vitkovic has been elected as the new President.
Dr Vitkovic will be joined by fellow office bearers, Rebecca Allnutt as Vice-President and Myra Ng as Treasurer. The remaining Directors on the Board include Dr Bec Bennett, Dr Barbra Timmer, Nick Baulderstone, Marian Jones, Margaret Dewberry, and Dr Jason Ridgway.
Dr Vitkovic says she is honoured to take on the new role and thanked outgoing President Dr Jason Ridgway for his two years of service in leading the organisation.
“I look forward to continuing the great direction of Audiology Australia as led by Dr Ridgway, and I will endeavour, together with our Board, to make effective decisions in the best interests of our members and the profession of Audiology as a whole”, she said.
Over the next five years, Audiology Australia will focus on five strategic priorities that supports our vision and mission. “Our priorities will promote the profession of Audiology and enable Audiologists to deliver the very best hearing healthcare to all Australians,” Dr Vitkovic said.
Dr Vitkovic is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is the Director of Teaching and Learning at the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne.
