The National Institute for Health Care and Excellence draft quality standard
The National Institute for Health Care and Excellence (NICE) in the UK have issued a draft quality standard which covers assessing and managing hearing loss in adults. It includes people presenting with hearing loss for the first time in adulthood whether it started in adulthood or earlier and it describes high-quality care in priority areas for improvement.
The draft quality standard is open for consultation until 14 March 2019. The final quality standard is expected to be published in July 2019.
