Development of National Competency Standards for Audiologists in Australia
The National Competency Standards are intended to fully articulate the minimum skills, knowledge and behaviours required for ‘entry level’ independent practice for audiologists in Australia and provide the standards against which the public can expect safe practice.
When complete, the National Competency Standards for Audiologists in Australia is intended to become the primary document which describes the professional skills of practitioners that are considered appropriately skilled and competent to practice independently.
This consultation is intended to provide high-level feedback to inform the development of the first draft of the National Competency Standards, which will be released in draft form for consultation later in 2019.
