Audiology Australia submission to the Productivity Commission in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
Audiology Australia has provided a submission to the Productivity Commission's Indigenous Evaluation Strategy Issues Paper.
The Productivity Commission has been asked by the Australian Government to develop a whole-of-government evaluation strategy for policies and programs affecting Indigenous Australians, to be used by all Australian Government agencies.
Audiology Australia welcomed the opportunity to comment on the Commission's Issues Paper and strongly supports the idea that better evidence about what works and why is needed to improve policies and programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The submission was aimed at providing information to support the need for evaluating hearing initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples following on from Audiology Australia's March 2019 position statement 'Hearing Health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples'.
