There are no changes to the pricing in the NDIS Pricing Schedule for 2026–27 for audiology support items. Audiology Therapy Direct Service pricing remains at the national hourly rate of $193.99. Other audiology fees are set out in tables 15 and 16 of the Pricing Schedule linked below.
Face-to-face activities have been unbundled into separate line items under the new Pricing Schedule. These changes must be reflected in billing practices from 1 July 2026.
All audiology specific fee items remain the same as in the previous review. You can find the list of all audiology support item prices on pages 26–28 of the NDIS Pricing Schedule for 2026–27 document, which will come into effect on 1 July 2026.
Audiology Australia is disappointed by this decision to freeze prices for the seventh consecutive year.
This means that audiology services providers will once again be asked to absorb rising costs, placing significant pressure on service availability.
As we have previously reported, the gap between rising costs and NDIS support item fees continues to widen, with many audiology providers saying the current pricing approach is becoming increasingly unsustainable to the viability of their businesses, risking participant access to timely and appropriate care.
Audiology Australia is united with the allied health sector in our response. We urge the Commonwealth Government and NDIA to prioritise stability, transparency and genuine engagement with the allied health sector to minimise impact on service providers and reduce growing uncertainty for participants who rely on consistent, high-quality supports.
