Mar 19, 2025

This federal election (2025), Audiology Australia is supporting Allied Health Professions Australia’s (AHPA’s) 5 ‘asks’ to government that seek to recognise public value of Allied Health Professionals including audiologists and increase multidisciplinary cooperation across healthcare services.

Click the links below to find out more about each election focus area and AHPA’s aims:

  1. Primary Care: Facilitate funding and workforce reform to include the sector more in new multidisciplinary care models.
  2. Aged Care: Embed allied health services, in the aged care system.
  3. Digital Health: Increase digital cooperation across professions, providing allied health professionals access to a client’s digital health information generated by other healthcare professionals.
  4. Rural and Remote: Reduce disadvantages for rural and remote Australians in accessing allied health services.
  5. Disability: Increase the sector’s involvement in discussions with the National Disability Insurance Agency.
